Last year I launched a line of silk inspired by the Masters~ so far it features playsilks in homage to works by Van Gogh and Monet. There is something about the dye on silk that so wonderfully captures the flow of the artists' works (click the image to view larger).
So it was a pleasure to be approached by someone from the UK this week looking for Monet inspired silk for her dancers in her ballet studio's end of season production based on Monet's Waterlilies, Green Reflection, Left Part 1916-1923.
She requested silks in emerald, purple and blue, with the blue predominating. And these are the results:
I love a good colour challenge!
