Whew! The month flies by when you measure it in books!

Our book for day five was a gift to us several years ago.

We read Mary Engelbreit's A Merry Little Christmas: Celebrate from A to Z.
And since this is a Canadian blog, please note that you should read that as Eh to Zed.
(Rowan and I have been having this 'discussion' ~ she likes 'zee' better because it rhymes better in the ABC song...)

This book has rich illustrations in the expected Engelbreit style to engage pre-readers and is suitable for early readers to read along.
I would guess that unless it was a family favourite, it wouldn't be a big hit with the over-primary crowd, but it was thoroughly enjoyed again this year by our 6 year old.
We added the extra challenge of naming as many items as we could find on each page that began with the letter featured on the page~ the detailed illustrations are a delight to explore, and will keep little ones coming back.

Happy Reading♥♥
